Because this mountain has its chief extension in longitude , the rivers rising on its northside flow through the countries of the Turks , Tibetans , Khazars , and Slavonians , and fall into the sea of Jurjan -LRB- the Caspian Sea -RRB- , or the sea of Khwarism -LRB- the Aral Sea -RRB- , or the Sea Pontus -LRB- the Black Sea -RRB- , or the northern sea of the Slavonians -LRB- the Baltic -RRB- ; whilst the rivers rising on the southern slopes flow through India and fall into the great ocean , some reaching it single , others combined . चूंकि इस पर्वत का विस्तार प्रमुखत : लंबाई में हुआ है , इसके उत्तरी भाग से निकले वाली नदियां तुर्कों , तिब्बतियों , खजरों और स्लावेनियनों के देशों से गुजरती हुई जरजान सागर ( कैस्पियन सागर ) में या ख़्वारिज़्म ( अरब सागर ) , या तंसत सागर ( कृष्ण सागर ) या स्लावोनियों के उत्तरी सागर ( ब्लाटिक ) में गिरती हैं ; जबकि दक्षिणी ढालों से निकलने वाली नदियां भारत के अंदर बहती हुई महासागर में गिरती हैं जिसमें से कुछ अकेली और कुछ मिलकर सागर में पहुंचती हैं .
